POKER RALLY & CAMPOUT Saturday October 18 & 19th Poker Rally starts at 10 am Sunday. How to play: 1. Sign in with your group (be creative, give your team a name) at the judge’s booth. Your team must have 2 or more riders in it. 2. Report to booth when all of your group has mounted and is ready to leave. Groups/teams leave for the trails every 15 minutes. 3. Take the usual route to the Elephant Road parking lot (Please use caution at that bend). Follow arrows marked with white lime through the trails. 4. When your group approaches a circle with an X in it on the trail, marked in white lime, any number of people may dismount. TIP: Take turns dismounting and searching. Choose a person to hold the reins of your horse while you search. Having a rider hold your horse is safer than dragging him/her through the woods with you. 5. Search for large coffee can. Coffee cans should be within approximately 15 feet in any direction from the circled X. 6. After coffee can is found, open lid and remove 1 envelope for each member of your group. DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE! Place the envelope in saddle bag or pocket (don’t lose it). 7. Place coffee can in the exact same spot you found it. 8. Repeat steps 5 through 8 six times. One coffee can is a dud or ha-ha can (it will have no envelopes in it). 9. After the sixth can is found follow arrows back to road and return to Haycock. 10. At this time you may either unsaddle your horse and then report to the judge’s booth OR report to the judge’s booth immediately. 11. Each person is to present their 5 envelopes to an HRC member posted at the judge’s booth. Now you may open the envelopes so that posted member can record your hand. 12. After all riders have their hand recorded, the winner with the best hand will be announced. Location: Haycock Stables 1035 Old Bethlehem Road Perkasie, PA For those bringing horses, please park way out back in the back most field. For those renting a horse for this event, please call to reserve a horse: 215-257-6271 Cost is $5 per rider per trip or hand. Example: if you pay $10, you can either take 2 cards out of each can for yourself in one trip OR take 1 card and go out a second time with another group to get your second card. Riding is free (if not renting) if you choose to only do the trail and NOT get cards. Winner gets 50% of money brought in that day! RULES: 1. DO NOT OPEN ENVELOPES WHILE OUT ON TRAIL! Envelopes should only be opened in front of or by the member posted at the judge’s booth. 2. Any envelopes opened while out on trail will be removed from the game. Giving you a less likely winning hand. 3. Please do your best to avoid stepping on the lime markings so that others behind you have a clear understanding of where they are going. 4. If you catch up to another group/team that has stopped and is searching for a coffee can, please remain +50 feet behind until they have mounted and continued on. 5. If you catch up to a group/team that is still riding, feel free to ask permission to ride ahead. ************************************************************************************ The point of this event is to have fun. So please respect others (riders, nature, cars, etc.) while you are out riding. ************************************************************************************ Special request: To make this event even more fun, we ask that you bring a covered dish so that those who are waiting to ride and those who finish early can sit and enjoy the anticipation of who will have the winning hand!
